With the AstroPrint hierarchical file system, you have complete control over your files. You can even associate your Gcode files with their associated STL files.
Organize your projects
With folders and subfolders, it is easy to keep your projects organized. You can even filter your files by size, date, and name. Not sure which Gcode file is the right one? Add a note to the file, so you'll never print the wrong one again!
Upload STL files and convert them to gcode
With the AstroPrint online slicing engine you can slice with Cura or Slic3r (Prusa Edition), right from your browser or phone. No need to use downloaded slicers ever again.
Upload Gcode files directly to your library
Do you prefer to slice offline with a 3rd party slicer such as Simplify3D, KISSlicer, or Repetier? No problem, you can easily upload your pre-sliced Gcode. There’s even an option to tag your Gcode files with notes about the slicer settings used, such as the preferred printer and material.

Use private and Public shared folders
In Multi-User accounts, admins can create shared folders. This allows users to share design files and gcode files with others in their organization. Users can also have the option to keep files in private folders. Admins choose how file sharing/security is configured for their organization.
